Who We Are
Next-Steps-Forward was founded in early 2025 by a small group of professional women with experience in equine learning, healthcare, research, social work, and mental health counseling. Our combined experiences made us realize there was a critical need for help for adolescent survivors of human trafficking and other forms of abuse. It can be challenging for busy equine facility staff to develop and launch a program specifically for this age group of survivors. We realized we could expand our impact by taking what we had learned through our experiences to help equine facilities offer an equine learning program that harnesses the transformative power of the human equine bond.
